It started in a clinic
Our Chief Medical Officer has treated more than ten thousand children in his own pediatric clinic. He watched the same story repeat: families waiting months for a specialist, driving hours for a twenty-minute visit, then going home alone with a plan nobody could help them follow.
What happened next
So we ran the model on his own patients
We built Pooficient, an app that tracks what a child eats, how they feel, and what comes out, and connects the dots. Then we wrapped it in always-on care: stool photo AI, food and fiber logs, daily check-ins, smart triage, and physician oversight.
Painful bowel movements dropped by 61%. Adherence roughly doubled. Families needed fewer visits, not more. And the work was cited in Elsevier’s Gastroenterology Clinics of North America, the only pediatric-specific app among the five cited.
